Phil Brooks is the Co-founder of Redwood Family Wealth, where he brings his knowledge of nearly 50 years in the financial services industry. Phil advises clients on a broad range of planning and investment strategies. He uses the combination of fundamental analysis (what to buy) and technical analysis (when to buy). His methodology is based on the basic principle of supply and demand. Combining these elements with relative strength enables clients to be positioned properly in all market conditions.

Prior to forming Redwood Family Wealth, Phil spent the previous five years with XO Wealth Management. He also worked 13 years at Raymond James, 17 years at RBC Dain Rauscher, two years at Smith Barney and 13 years at Merrill Lynch. He has achieved several recognition clubs during his career. Phil also passed the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® exams in 2008.

Phil earned his B.B.A. in management and economics from Southern Arkansas University in 1974. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas in May 1970.

Phil and his wife Jean have lived in Plano, Texas since 2001. He enjoys golf, and served on the SAU Foundation Board for 13 years. While on the board, he served one year as president and six years as chairman of the finance committee.
